The Universal God.

God of fertility, sex and wild nature.

A shepherd looking over fields, woods and pastures. A protector of flocks, over the raising of bees, the culture of the vine & fishing.

Pan is often depicted with his ‘pan flute’ as shown above.

Pan was chasing a water nymph named Syrinx. She cried aloud to her father, the river god Ladon to change her into a reed. He granted her prayer. Upset, Pan consoled himself by cutting some of the reeds and fashioning them into ‘pan pipes’.

Pan is the son of Arcadian god Hermes.
